How Much Does Tile Cost
Most floor and wall tiles range from $6.00 to $16.00 per square foot, depending on material. Most of the time we will have some ceramic tiles on sale that are as low as $2.00/sq. ft. Specialty mosaic or natural stone tiles range from $12.00 to $35.00/sq. ft. usually.
Something to keep in mind, is that usually when we quote our products, the cost to ship it to one of our warehouses, will already be included in the unit price. These days, you’re looking at appx. $1.25 to $5.00/sq. ft. depending on the material, and how far it has to travel to get here.
The overall cost of a tiling project is determined by tile selection, total room square footage, surface preparation requirements, and setting materials like tile adhesive, spacers, and grout.
Installation
Our company does not perform the installation, but when you visit our “pro network” page on this website, you’ll find a list of contractors, designers, and other businesses that can help you with that stage of your construction project.
Tile installation costs range from $15-$30/sq. ft. for standard ceramic and porcelain tiles. Specialty tiles, such as hexagon, stone, glass, and other non-standard patterns, will cost more. We’ve heard prices quoted from $80-$150/sq. ft. for waterproofing standard showers.
